KCEA Student Update: 2022

COVID brought many changes to students world wide. A past update explained how KCEA was continuing to support our students in Kenya with teachers and school supplies when the country went to online learning only. Thankfully with the support of our sponsors and other donors we were able to keep our students from getting behind in school work.  Once the students went back to school in 2021, there were still deficits that needed to be made up in the curriculum.  The Kenya school calendar is from January to December.   For 2021 though, the school year has extended into April of  2022 in order to complete the school year curriculum.

The 2022 school year began April 25th and ends in December once again. This is for both primary and secondary schools.  Kenya’s Ministry of Education has made these adjustments   “ in a bid to normalize the school calendar which was disrupted by the covid 19 pandemic.”  Your 2022 donations will continue to pay for the students tuition and needed supplies. We are so thankful that throughout the Covid epidemic we were still able to keep our students “in school” with printed assignments and teachers visiting villages to tutor.  Your ongoing support continues to keep KCEA students in school and pursuing their education.
